1 year of Voi in Italy and we are already the #1 operator in Milan!

Che viaggio, Voi! E’ passato solo un anno da quando il nostro servizio è stato lanciato in Italia ed abbiamo già raggiunto importantissimi risultati sia in termini di utilizzo, sia in termini di iniziative volte a rendere il servizio di monopattini in sharing ancora più sicuro!

Voi è stato infatti il primo operatore ad introdurre, a febbraio 2021, gli innovativi e sostenibili Voiager 4 nel mercato italiano, l’unico monopattino, che ancora oggi in Italia, fornisce le doppie frecce anteriori e posteriori.  Questo investimento, ha reso il nostro servizio il più sicuro sia per i nostri utenti sia per gli altri attori del traffico. 

In solo un anno abbiamo lanciato quattro città: Milano, Roma, Torino e Reggio Emilia e altre due sono in fase di lancio.

In un solo anno, i nostri utenti hanno percorso più di 1.500.000 chilometri, che equivalgono a 58 volte il giro dell’equatore della Terra! 

Noi di Voi crediamo nella creazione di città fatte per vivere, libere da rumore, inquinamento e congestione. Crediamo che questo si raggiunga liberando più spazio per le persone e dedicando meno spazio alle auto private. Integrando il trasporto pubblico con soluzioni ecologiche dell’ultimo miglio come i monopattini in sharing, possiamo contribuire a ridurre la dipendenza dall’auto. Secondo un sondaggio sui nostri clienti condotto nel 2021, il 45% dei nostri utenti italiani integra l’utilizzo del trasporto pubblico con l’uso dei monopattini Voi. Lo stesso studio conclude che  il 16% dei nostri intervistati italiani ha rivelato di aver sostituito i viaggi in auto privata con i monopattini Voi. 

Questo indica che abbiamo aiutato le città a eliminare dalle strade italiane più di 93.000 viaggi in auto privata, che equivalgono a una produzione di circa 50 tonnellate di CO2 e 20 kg di MP2.5.

Per ottenere lo stesso beneficio, si sarebbero dovuti piantare 1.913 alberi dell’età di 10 anni (che in Italia equivalgono ad una foresta di circa 4 ettari) nel territorio italiano.

Oltre a questi importanti risultati, Voi Technology ha anche ottimizzato l’efficienza della flotta per rendere i monopattini di Voi sempre disponibili e sempre in viaggio. Con i monopattini Voi sempre in uso, si riduce la quantità dei veicoli parcheggiati in città e si migliora l’integrazione del servizio di Voi con il trasporto pubblico.

E tutto questo è solo l’inizio di un lungo e meraviglioso VOIage verso città italiane in 15 minuti sostenibili e sicure!

Oh Voi, what a ride! Only one year has passed since we launched our service in Italy and we have already reached several milestones, both in terms of use and of increasing e-scooter and road safety!

In February, Voi was the first operator in Italy to introduce e-scooters with turn indicators. To date, the Voiager 4 is the only one e-scooter model in the Italian market equipped with this feature, which provides more safety for both riders and other road users. This investment made Voi the safest operator for Italian users and the most trusted partner in micro mobility for the city administrations. 

In less than one year, we have launched our service in four cities: Milan, Rome, Turin and Reggio Emilia. (Two additional ones are about to join the list of Italian Voi cities, stay tuned!). In just one year, our users have covered more than 1,500,000 kilometers, which amounts to 58 laps around the equator! 

At Voi, we believe in shaping cities made for living – free from noise, pollution and congestion. We believe that this is achieved by freeing up more space for people, and dedicating less space to private cars. By making it easier to combine public transport with green last-mile-solutions like shared e-scooters, we can help reduce car-dependency.  According to a  customer survey conducted in 2021, 45% of our Italian users combine e-scooter rides with public transport. The same user survey concluded that 16% of our Italian users replace private car trips with Voi’s e-scooters. This indicated we have helped cities to eliminate more than 93,000 private car trips from Italian roads, equivalent to a production of about 50 tons of CO2 and 20kg of MP2.5. To obtain the same benefit, 1,913 trees, 10 years old, (equivalent to a forest of about 4 hectares) would have to be planted in the Italian territory.

In addition to these key results, Voi Technology also optimized its fleet efficiency in order to make Voi’s e-scooters always available and always on the ride. Having Vois e-scooters always in use, reduces the amount of vehicles parked in the city and improves the integration of Voi’s service with the public transports.
