Voi welcomes Smart City expert Neele Reimann-Philipp as new member of the DACH public policy team

We are very proud to announce the expansion of our DACH public policy team with the addition of Berlin-based urban development specialist Neele Reimann-Philipp. At Voi she will be drawing on her expertise in the smart city sector to further public and institutional dialog and drive the synergistic development of modern urban infrastructure together with our partners. Reimann-Philipp has close to a decade of experience with various urban development projects, working most recently at the Berlin Senate Chancellery. The position with Voi was newly created for her.

“Our strong city partnerships have been an integral part of Voi’s success in DACH ever since we first launched in 2019,” explains Claus Unterkircher, GM DACH. “The various applications and uses of e-scooters heavily depend on local conditions and traffic needs. Therefore, a continued dialogue with public and private partners is essential for us. With Neele, our DACH team has received strong reinforcement in this matter. Together we want to not only grow further as a company, but also deliver a decisive contribution to urban transformation.”

In 2019, Voi was the first company to receive an e-scooter license for shared mobility usage in Germany and was among the first providers to launch a large-scale shared micromobility scheme. Operations in Switzerland picked up prior to that, with our latest addition Bern having been launched in February 2021. During these two years, we have made strong progress in the DACH area – an achievement that we want to build on even further in the future.

Just two weeks ago, we added three new locations to our Voi-Map – Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Cologne. At the same time, we rolled out the first e-scooter parking racks in Switzerland in Bern. Over the next few months, we look to further expand our presence in DACH and strengthen the connection with local urban planning together with Neele. In order to promote these synergies, one of our focus areas will be the cooperation with public and private institutions.
