Voi deepens partnership with Stockholm’s smartest travel planner Travis

Voi is deepening its integration with Travis, Sweden’s fastest-growing mobility as a service platform. By simplifying the access to Voi’s e-scooters in Travis multimodal app, it’s now even easier for inhabitants of Stockholm to access flexible, climate-friendly mobility.

Reversing dependency on privately-owned cars in cities can contribute to environmental and social goals, while also reducing congestion and freeing up space currently occupied by parked cars. The concept of mobility as a service (MaaS), understood as a single platform for different shared mobility modes, is gaining traction as an alternative to car ownership. It enables people to access the kind of vehicle that is best suited for the location and situation without the hassle of maintaining and repairing.

It should be easy to make climate-friendly transport choices rather than taking short, unnecessary car trips.

In 2019, Voi teamed up with Travis, Sweden’s fastest-growing MaaS platform, owned by the biggest public transport operator in the Nordic region – Nobina. Travis offers a smart travel planner where users in Stockholm can plan their multimodal trips in one single app. This includes transport alternatives like public transit, electric scooters, rental bikes, taxi and carpools.

The partnership started with a MaaS pilot in the Stockholm suburb Barkarbystaden. Following a successful pilot phase, Voi and Travis are now enhancing the collaboration by deep-integrating Voi’s service in Travis’ platform all over Stockholm.

The deep integration implies that Travis’ users now will be able to book and pay for Voi rides in all of Stockholm directly in the Travis app. Making MaaS platforms seamless is essential for increasing user-friendliness.

“We are constantly listening to our users to create improvements and changes that make the app smarter and easier to use. To not have to deal with several different accounts and apps has been highly requested, and through a deepened collaboration with Voi, all users will now be able to both book and pay for their Voi rides directly in the Travis app”, said John Strand, CEO at Nobina Travis.

Increasing travelling with lightweight vehicles, such as e-scooters and bikes, in shorter distances is an easy way to mitigate the environmental impact of mobility.
