Voi helps doctors with their on-demand house calls

Mar 27, 2020

Yesterday we reached out to the public, asking how our Nordic fleet of 25.000 scooters could support our cities instead of standing idle in our warehouses. Since then we have been inundated with great suggestions from the public on how our e scooters can support local communities. We are now in the process of making these good ideas are reality.

On-demand medical house calls on wheels

Ally is a Swedish company operating under the wings of Region Stockholm, offering a safe and convenient health care service by supplying medical staff for on-demand house calls.

The demand for at-home treatment is on the rise for people adviced to stay at home, with illnesses and discomforts that normally would have been treated at a hospital. Ally’s mobile medical staff can offer safe and reliable at-home care for cases not related to Covid-19, and will start using electric scooters to travel safely between house calls in collaboration with Voi.

“Going to the doctor’s office isn’t always the best option, especially during a global pandemic crisis when social distancing is advised to slow the spread of the coronavirus. We are happy Voi wants to join us in our aim to help patients in their homes by streamlining our travel and helping us help even more patients in need of care”

– Alexander Åström, CEO and co-founder, Ally

“We’ve made it our mission to support the corner-stones of society in any way we can these past few weeks, and have reached out to healthcare, authorities, public transport operators and many others offering our support. We are thrilled to be partnering up with Ally, as their service can provide a true relief for hospitals, and we can provide their heroic medical staff with a safe means of transportation while they do so.”
