Riding zones
Our vehicles respond to preset rules depending on their location. Be sure to familiarise yourself with each one of them before you set off.
Mandatory parking zone
In some cities (or areas), parking is permitted only in designated spaces. Use the map to find one near your destination before you set off.
Open parking zone
In other cities (or areas), you may park almost anywhere as long as the vehicle stands upright and doesn’t obstruct the path of other road users.
No-parking zone
Certain areas are simply unsuitable for parking. That’s why we have no-parking zones where you can neither pause nor end your ride.
Low-speed zone
These are areas, usually crowded with cars or pedestrians, or near (pre)schools, where the vehicle automatically slows down a bit.
No-riding zone
As the name suggests, these are no-go areas for all Voi vehicles. Here, you can neither ride nor park the scooter (nor pause your trip).

Grünerløkka
Oslo is known for its beauty and wilderness. If you want to check out some hidden gems, Grünerløkka and Tøyen are the perfect spots, cherished by locals.
Be sure to explore the Munch Museum – located in a beautiful area next to the Botanisk Hage, luckily, this beautiful spot is super accessible with a Voi scooter.
Grønland
Every neighbourhood in Oslo has its own charm. On Saturdays, the local Voi riders love to hang out in the diverse Grønland. And of course, fashionable Frogner and lively Majorstuen, where you can pick up vintage bargains at the flea market Vestkanttorget every Saturday.
St Hanshaugen
If you want to practise your Voi riding in a beautiful environment, head out to St Hanshaugen. This cool part of Oslo has little to no traffic but many bike lanes. In this area, you can also park your scooter for a while and go for a walk in St Hanshaugen park.
Mathallen
Mathallen is located in the recently renovated area Vulkan, along the Akerselva river at the bottom of Grünerløkka. Make sure to check where to park your e-scooter before heading here, as some areas might be covered by no parking zones.
Inside this transformed industrial hall, you will find delicacies from all corners of the world.
Aker Brygge
This old industrial site is now home to shopping areas, restaurants and entertainment venues as well as the Nobel Peace Center. And nearby sits the jewel in the crown – City Hall – where the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony is held every year amid Edvard Munch’s famous frescoes.
